Welcome to Providence!

We are honored you are checking us out! Finding a church home through which you can grow spiritually is an important decision – one we pray you clothe in prayer. So, here are a few things to help you as
you consider Providence:
1

First and Foremost:

We love the Lord! We put Him first! There is no greater pleasure on this earth than coming together as a church family to worship Him. As we think about all God has done for us through His Son, Jesus Christ, we are passionate about affording opportunities for our church family to grow in their spiritual journey.

Our Mission

“To experience God fully, grow as Disciples of Christ, and serve our community.”

Our passion is connecting people to God & each other. Providence UMC strives to glorify God and share the love and teachings of Jesus Christ through worship, the creation of a strong church family and outreach to those around us & around the world.

Come As You Are

We say that, and we really mean it. Come in jeans, come in a coat & tie, either way you will feel right at home. For us, it is the posture of the heart wanting to grow in Christ’s image that is most important. So, come relaxed and let’s worship God together!

When We Get together to Worship

Traditional Worship at 9:30am-Methodist hymns & liturgy and a sermon
Contemporary Service at 11am-today’s Christian praise music and a message

Where We Meet

We are on Bernhard Road between Redwine Road and Georgia State Road 85 in southern Fayette County. When you enter from Bernhard Road, the Children's Building is right in front of you and the main building is off to your left. Student Ministry for 6th-12th grade meets in modular building E behind the main building.

How about Your Family?

Just come to the Welcome Desk in the Children’s Building when you come to Providence for the first time, sign your children in to the security system and we’ll do the rest. All of our workers and volunteers are background-checked every year and we have UMC Safe Sanctuary policies in place to protect your children.

Children are a top priority for us at Providence. Sunday School at 9:30am & 11am incorporates and engages children in different learning styles & formats.

If you have grade 6-12 students, Sunday school classes meet at 9:30 & 11am for middle school and high school during the school year. Students meet for fun & worship on Sunday evenings from 5-7:00pm and for small groups on Wednesday evenings during the school year.

When You Visit…

If you are visiting with us for the first time this Sunday, thank you! Please pick up a visitor’s bag in the lobby as you leave. If you would like additional information about Providence, feel free to call the church office or send us an email. Let us know if we can help you in any way. We wish you blessings for the coming week and hope to see you Sunday!
