Adult Ministries at Providence promote fellowship
and provide opportunities which enable us to get connected to God and
each other. Small group experiences are offered in a wide variety of formats
including Sunday morning classes, weekly Bible Study groups, prayer team,
Disciple classes and recreational events. We believe that through small
group connections we grow in our faith, care for each other, develop our
gifts, share joys and concerns, serve others and have FUN! If you have
questions about how to get connected in Adult Ministries, email Leslie
Lunsford at LLunsford@provumc.com
We believe that it is God's will for each of us to be involved in
the ministries of the church. The members of Providence UMC are its ministers
assisted by the staff.
It
is our hope that we will not simply have 'attenders' but will help create
'extenders'; people who will extend God's love and caring far beyond the
walls of our own church.

DivorceCare
Providence UMC and Heritage Christian Church are excited to team up to
offer fall 13-week DivorceCare class and DivorceCare for Kids for children
5 -12 years old. The classes begin meeting in The Brick building at HCC
on Wednesdays @ 6:30 pm at 2130 Redwine Road in Fayetteville. Free workbooks
and childcare will be provided. If you cannot attend the fall session,
plan to be at Providence for the spring session beginning in January.
Most people will tell you that separation and divorce are two of the most
painful and stressful experiences you'll ever face. DivorceCare can help
you confront these many challenges and move toward rebuilding your life.
DivorceCare for Kids has specially trained leaders to help children recover
from the hurt of divorce and foster communication between the parent and
child during this sad time. You don't have to go through this alone, please
join us so your healing process can begin. If you are interested in signing
up or just want more info, please call Barbara Hudson (678-773-4656);
Charlie Penny (678-570-7775); or Wendy & Tim Peterson (678-977-1499).
If you want to enroll your child in DivorceCare for Kids or want more
information please contact Mike Conaway at mikeconaway@heritagechristian.org
