Rev. Herb Flanders , Senior Pastor


Herb is married to Regina and has 2 grown children and a mutt. He loves working at Providence because it is “full of great folks!” On Sunday mornings, you can, of course, find Herb in the pulpit. Some other fun facts about Herb…Favorite movie: “Forrest Gump.” Best vacation: driving to Alaska the summer before 4th grade. A skill or talent no one knows about: he can name (almost) all 159 counties in GA. A pet peeve: rustling plastic sounds (like a chip bag). Rev. Maria Wells, Volunteer Associate Minister

Maria is married with 1 daughter and 1 stepdaughter.  She also has 3 grandkids and lots of pet fish.  She loves working at Providence because of the people.  On Sunday mornings, you can find Maria in the Open Door Sunday School Class and then at the 11:00 church service.  Some other fun facts about Maria are… Favorite Movie:  “The Way We Were.” Best Vacation:  London, England. A skill or talent no one knows about:  she makes a great cream cheese flan. When she was 10 years old she wanted to be: a teacher. Her first car:  a white Buick Skylark with a red top.

Leslie Lunsford, Adult Ministry 

& Communications Director

Leslie is married and has 2 grown children.  She loves working at Providence because of the friendly, welcoming people.  On Sunday mornings, you can usually find her in the lobby.  Some other fun facts about Leslie…Favorite movie:  “Something’s Gotta Give.” Best vacation: Paris, France. A skill or talent no one knows about: she is ambidextrous. A pet peeve: people talking/texting on cell phones while they drive. When she was 10 years old she wanted to be: a surgeon. Adam Love, Youth Director 

Adam is single and does not have children yet, but he does have an African Ball Python named “Snake.”  He loves working at Providence because the people here are so loving and friendly…and we have AWESOME youth!  On Sunday mornings, you can usually find Adam in the sanctuary or in the youth building.  Some other fun facts about Adam are…Favorite movie:  “Braveheart” or “Shawshank Redemption.” Best vacation: “What’s a vacation??” A skill or talent no one knows about:  he is an amateur woodworker. Patricia Bates, Preschool Co-Director

 
Patricia is married with 3 adult children, and 2 “grand-dog-ters” that currently live with them.  She loves working at Providence because she loves children, and she loves providing a positive learning environment for them.  On Sunday mornings, you can normally find Patricia in the 9:30 worship service.  Some other fun facts about Patricia are… Best vacation:  snow skiing. Tracy Williamson, Birth-4 years Children’s Director, Preschool Co-Director

Tracy has 2 grown sons and a Cocker Spaniel named Murphy.  She loves working at Providence because she loves sharing her faith with children in such a family-friendly environment.  On Sunday mornings, you can find Tracy in the Children’s Building.  Some other fun facts about Tracy are… Favorite movie:  “Michael.” Best vacation:  St. George Island. Amy Doil, Children’s Ministry Assistant

 
Amy has 3 kids, 1 dog and 2 cats.  She loves working at Providence because of the love and support she gets from everyone here, as well as having the opportunity to teach kids that God is always with them and is their best friend!  On Sunday mornings you will find Amy at her home church.  Some other fun facts about Amy are… Favorite movie:  “Sixteen Candles.” Best vacation:  taking her kids back home to TX to see landmarks in San Antonio and Austin. Woody Brown, Worship Director

 
Woody is married and has 5 children and a poodle named Lucky, who was rescued on Friday the 13th.  Woody loves working at Providence because of the kindness of the people in this church.  On Sundays you can find Woody leading worship at the 9:30 service, and worshipping God.  He invites you to join him!  Some other fun facts about Woody…Favorite movie:  “Greatest Showman.” Best vacation:  River Cruise on the Danube. Tim Hall, Media Specialist

 
Tim is married and has 3 children and 3 grandsons…and 1 granddaughter on the way!  He loves working at Providence because he gets to serve others and help with worship.  On Sunday mornings, you can find Tim in the sanctuary in the sound booth.  Some other fun facts about Tim are…Favorite movie:  All the “Harry Potter” movies. Best vacation:  a cruise with the family. A skill or talent that no one knows about:  he can gobble like a turkey. A pet peeve:  people that text and drive. When he was 10 years old he wanted to be: a zookeeper.

Linda Ellis, Praise Band Leader

 
Linda is married and has 2 boys as well as a pet dog.  She loves working at Providence because it does not feel like work.  It is fun for her to create music for God and for worship.  On Sunday mornings you can find Linda at the piano, singing in the choir, or in Sunday school.  Some other fun facts about Linda are…Favorite movie:  “Steel Magnolias.” Best vacation:  Disney World. A skill or talent that no one knows about:  she makes pumpkin and apple pies from scratch…including the pastry! A pet peeve:  cell phones at the dinner table. When she was 10 years old she wanted to be: a famous singer or a teacher. Her first car:  a red 1971 Volkswagen Beetle.

Rhonda Crowther, Executive Assistant

 
Rhonda is married and has 2 children, and a 3.5 pound spoiled rotten Yorkshire terrier.  Rhonda loves working at Providence because she gets to help people and every day is different.  On Sunday mornings, you can usually find Rhonda worshipping in the 9:30 service.  Some other fun facts about Rhonda are…Favorite movie:  “Forrest Gump.” Best vacation:  Italy. A skill or talent no one knows about:  she can pick stuff up with her toes. A pet peeve:  tailgaters. In high school she wanted to be: a psychiatrist. Her first car:  a 1979 baby blue Mustang.

Vanni McGuire, Business Manager

Shirley Allen, Office Assistant


Shirley has 2 grown children and a tuxedo cat named Oreo.  She loves working at Providence because of the friendly, patient and understanding people here.  On Sundays you can find Shirley greeting worshippers at the back door, in the 9:30 worship service, or in the Friends in Christ Sunday School class.  Some other fun facts about Shirley are…Favorite movie:  “Sleepless in Seattle.” Best vacation:  Hatteras Island, NC…where she first became interested in lighthouses. A skill or talent that no one knows about:  she doesn’t know either, but as soon as she discovers it she will let everyone know! A pet peeve:  drivers who don’t use turn signals.
