Friends in Christ*
Come to Friends in Christ Sunday school at 10:00 a.m. Facilitators are Clarice Howard, John Lane, Garry Smith, Ron & Cheryl Clower and John Lacey. All are welcome! Room 106

What Would Jesus Do*
This class looks for scriptural references to determine how to respond to the challenges and pressures of modern day life. Participation and discussion are its strength and the “fun” part of the class is what is learned from each other. The class is doing stand-alone lessons and discussion. Drop-ins welcome! Room F13.

The Farsiders*
A unique class for folks who quickly want to build a fellowship circle within the church. New study begins September 12th: “The Ten Most Common Objections to Christianity” by Alex McFarland. These are standalone lessons, so drop in and check it out!- Room 103

The Pathfinders*
A group of growing Christians who are learning to discern and fulfill God’s will. Lessons involve lively discussions and interaction. The Pathfinders foster close fellowship among class members by sponsoring frequent social activities. The class is studying CS Lewis’ “The Screwtape Letters” & drop-ins are welcome! Room 105

BASIC*
Brothers and Sisters in Christ begins this Sunday, September 5th and will be using the UMC Quarterly Studies for curriculum. The fall study is Exodus and Psalms. Room 104.

Chop and Chat
Wednesdays 9:00-11:30 AM

The class is studying Beth Moore’s “Beloved Disciple.” If you can stay after class, head to kitchen for an hour to help with the chopping for that night’s dinner. Conversation Cafe
This small group meets weekly after Wednesday Night Supper to discuss topics from Christian writers. Jon & Dawn Hunt lead this class which is currently doing the Andy Stanley DVD/discussion series “Breakaway.” Email Jon at jondavidhunt@comcast.net for info. F.I.T. Families in Training
This group meets twice each month during the school year for Bible or book study, then walks together on the off weeks for exercise and fellowship. They meet in room 106. Contact Lisa Higgs at lisaahiggs@hotmail.com for info.

DivorceCare
Providence UMC and Heritage Christian Church are excited to team up to offer fall 13-week DivorceCare class and DivorceCare for Kids for children 5 -12 years old. The classes meet in The Brick building at HCC on Wednesdays, at 6:30 pm at 2130 Redwine Road in Fayetteville. Free workbooks and childcare will be provided. If you cannot attend the fall session, plan to be at Providence for the spring session beginning in January.

DivorceCare can help you confront these many challenges and move toward rebuilding your life. DivorceCare for Kids has specially trained leaders to help children recover from the hurt of divorce and foster communication between the parent and child during this sad time. You don't have to go through this alone, please join us so your healing process can begin. Community Bible Study
The study for 2010-11 is the book of Genesis. CBS says “Genesis displays God’s holiness and faithfulness, and His patient development of mankind’s faith in a coming Messiah”. Registration is open to the community. First class for the next school year is Friday, September 10th. This group of ladies from many denominations meets at Providence UMC on Friday mornings 9:30-11:30 a.m. during the school year. Nursery, children’s & juniors programs, 6 weeks-8th grade, available. Men’s Fellowship Group
This men’s group meets monthly for breakfast, fellowship and service projects. The next breakfast is September 11th at 8:00 a.m. Call Tom Nolan for info (678-817-5992).

Faith and Fitness
