Adult Ministries

Adult Ministries at Providence promote fellowship and provide opportunities which enable us to get connected to God and each other. Small group experiences are offered in a wide variety of formats including Sunday morning classes, weekly Bible Study groups, prayer team, Disciple classes and recreational events. We believe that through small group connections we grow in our faith, care for each other, develop our gifts, share joys and concerns, serve others and have FUN! If you have questions about how to get connected in Adult Ministries, email Leslie Lunsford at LLunsford@provumc.com

We believe that it is God's will for each of us to be involved in the ministries of the church. The members of Providence UMC are its ministers assisted by the staff.

It is our hope that we will not simply have 'attenders' but will help create 'extenders'; people who will extend God's love and caring far beyond the walls of our own church.

DivorceCare is a 13-week Biblically based, friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life's most difficult experiences. Don't go through this alone. You do not need to be a member of this church to participate. There are no costs involved and free child-care is available. We meet every Monday from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM in Room F-13 at Providence. Alpha

Learn more about the Christian faith through Alpha. Providence will partner with Peachtree City UMC and All Saints Anglican Church this fall to offer Alpha. Providence classes will be Sunday and Wednesday mornings. Breakfast and childcare provided. You do not have to be a member of Providence to attend, so bring a friend. Over 11 million people have attended an Alpha course in tens of thousands of churches of all denominations, at universities, in prisons and on military bases across the world. People attend from many different backgrounds, religions and viewpoints. Some want to investigate whether God exists and if there is any point to life; others are concerned about what happens after death. Still others may have attended church all their lives, but feel they never really understood the essentials of the Christian faith. Alpha is the course for everyone who thinks there may be more to life than meets the eye.
