Adult Ministries at Providence promote fellowship and provide opportunities which enable us to get connected to God and each other. Small group experiences are offered in a wide variety of formats including Sunday morning classes, weekly Bible Study groups, prayer team, Disciple classes and recreational events. We believe that through small group connections we grow in our faith, care for each other, develop our gifts, share joys and concerns, serve others and have FUN! If you have questions about how to get connected in Adult Ministries, email Leslie Lunsford at LLunsford@provumc.com
It is our hope that we will not simply have 'attenders' but will help create 'extenders'; people who will extend God's love and caring far beyond the walls of our own church. Small Group Page From 8:45-9:45am, 10am-10:45am and 11am-12noon each week, we have classes for all ages and stages. Visit our Small Group page for class descriptions, times, and room numbers. DivorceCare & DC4K A new class begins Monday, August 17th. If you are separated or newly divorced please consider coming to the class. DivorceCare is a 13-week Biblically based, friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life's most difficult experiences. Don't go through this alone. You do not need to be a member of this church to participate. There are no costs involved and free child-care is available. We meet every Monday from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM in Room F-13 at Providence. To sign up or if you have any questions please call Barbara Hudson (678.773.4656) or Phil Coe (770.719.9363).
Alpha
Learn more about the Christian faith through Alpha. Providence will partner with Peachtree City UMC and All Saints Anglican Church this fall to offer Alpha. Providence classes will be Sunday and Wednesday mornings. Breakfast and childcare provided. You do not have to be a member of Providence to attend, so bring a friend.
Over 11 million people have attended an Alpha course in tens of thousands of churches of all denominations, at universities, in prisons and on military bases across the world. People attend from many different backgrounds, religions and viewpoints. Some want to investigate whether God exists and if there is any point to life; others are concerned about what happens after death. Still others may have attended church all their lives, but feel they never really understood the essentials of the Christian faith. Alpha is the course for everyone who thinks there may be more to life than meets the eye. Prayer Team We believe in the power of prayer! The prayer team meets weekly to discuss prayer requests and to pray for these and other specific needs of our church and community. Call Clarice Howard at 770-486-0996 for more information.
