Friends in Christ
Come to Friends in Christ Sunday school at 10:00 a.m. Facilitators are Clarice Howard, John Lane, Garry Smith, Ron & Cheryl Clower and John Lacey. Through July the class will be taking individual topics from “The Shack”—grace, forgiveness, love, judgment, etc. and referencing them to scripture. Room 106


What Would Jesus Do*
This class looks for scriptural references to determine how to respond to the challenges and pressures of modern day life. Participation and discussion are its strength and the “fun” part of the class is what is learned from each other. Michelle Villars is leading a study on the Nooma videos for the month of July.

The Farsiders*
A unique class for folks who quickly want to build a fellowship circle within the church. Chris Willingham is leading the 6 week Andy Stanley DVD/discussion series, “Breakaway” These are stand alone lessons so stop in any time!

The Pathfinders*
A group of growing Christians who are learning to discern and fulfill God’s will. Lessons involve lively discussions and interaction. The Pathfinders foster close fellowship among class members by sponsoring frequent social activities. Led by Brian Beatty, the class is studying “New Testament Parables from the Backside.”

B.A.S.I.C. (Brothers and Sisters in Christ)*
A delightful, varied group of individuals, who share with each other, affirm each other, and learn more about God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Current study, the Nooma video series, is led by Tracey Abrams.

DivorceCare & DC4K
Monday 6:30 – 8:30 PM
A new class begins Monday, August 17th. If you are separated or newly divorced please consider coming to the class. DivorceCare is a 13-week Biblically based, friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life's most difficult experiences. Don't go through this alone. You do not need to be a member of this church to participate. There are no costs involved and free child-care is available. We meet every Monday from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM in Room F-13 at Providence. Chop and Chat
Wednesday 9:30-11:30 AM
Join the Chop and Chat Bible ladies study group when it starts back August 19th. The class goes from 9:30-11:30 at which time those that can head to kitchen for an hour to help with the chopping for that night’s dinner. Conversation Cafe
This small group meets weekly after Wednesday Night Supper to discuss topics from Christian writers. Preparation is not required, just drop in at Room 103 at 6:30 p.m. during the school year. Class resumes August 19th.

F.I.T. Families in Training
This group meets twice each month during the school year.

The Truth Project
This new class, using DVDs that are produced by Focus on the Family, offers deeper discipleship and worldview teaching to help reinvigorate believers and will be led by Fred & Cherie Werginz. Community Bible Study
The 2009-10 study, “The Acts of the Apostles” begins September 11th. This group of ladies from many denominations meets at Providence UMC on Friday mornings 9:30-11:30 a.m. during the school year. Men’s Fellowship Group

Faith and Fitness
