Teens on Fire!

Spiritual passion is not easy to explain, but you might describe it as a burning inside you, a warmth or a glow. Paul reminds us in 2 Timothy 1:6 that our passion for God is like a fire within us, a flame we must fan continuously. With this in mind, our Providence youth ministry is *“EXURO,”* a Latin word meaning “to burn” or “set on fire.” Our prayer is that passion for Him will be ignited and stoked in the hearts of our young people and our mission simply will be to burn with passion for God and with God's love for those around us. As the Spirit burns within us, the things in our lives holding us back from Him are refined away, love for Him becomes our sustaining life-force, the heat of His love and light of His truth touch our community and world through us.

Senior High small groups are *“Oxygen,”* because it is one of the required elements for fire. Students “catch their breath” and allow the Holy Spirit to breathe new life into them while they meet in nearby homes from 7:00-8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. Mid-high small groups are *“PriorityOne,”* a launching point to build and stoke the fire in our students' hearts while they learn God's Word and choose to put God first in their lives. By meeting on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the mid-high youth Building, students from all public and private schools are able to attend PriorityOne.

If you're a 6th-12th grade student…join the fire-the more who come, the brighter we will shine! If you are an adult interested in being on the youth ministry team, we have a place for you to serve! When we allow God to take us to a new, passionate place where our hearts burn for Him and those around us feel the warmth of His love.
