Priority One

6th-8th graders, meet in the Youth Modular 6:30-8:00 p.m. Wednesdays for mid-week fellowship & Bible study.

Oxygen

9th-12th graders, small groups meet on Wednesdays 7:00-8:30 p.m. Contact Brent Ritter at provbr@bellsouth.net for more info. We will provide transportation to & from the church if needed.

”Go Fish” Worship Team

Use those computer, music, acting and technical skills in the exciting new program of drama, singing, leading children's worship, audio/visual editing, sound & lighting. Contact Barbee at bvosecky@comcast.net for info. Mid High Worship Team meets at 5:00 p.m. Sundays in The Wave.

SUPER-WOW

New for summer this year: SUPER WOW, a large summer youth conference held in Jekyll Island, GA June 16-20. Total cost of the trip is determined by how many students go, but we're expecting it to be around $250. Sign up at Exuro. Check out superwow.com for more information.

YOUTH MUSIC & ARTS CAMP

Are you a creative artist in music, drama or dance? Consider attending Living Water, the North Georgia Music & Arts Camp held at Oxford College June 22-28. Tuition is $350, and the first 10 students who sign up are offered a $50 scholarship from one of our members. Check out the sign-up board in the youth building for more information.

MIDDLE SCHOOL SUMMER MISSION TRIP

We'll be returning to the United Methodist Children's Home in Decatur, GA June 24-26. Sign up at Exuro on Sunday nights.

HIGH SCHOOL SUMMER MISSION TRIP

Our summer mission trip to ReCreation Experiences will be July 6th-12th. Sign up are at Exuro on Sunday night.

 

Teens on Fire!

Spiritual passion is not easy to explain, but you might describe it as a burning inside you, a warmth or a glow. Paul reminds us in 2 Timothy 1:6 that our passion for God is like a fire within us, a flame we must fan continuously. With this in mind, our Providence youth ministry will become “EXURO,” a Latin word meaning “to burn” or “set on fire.” Our prayer is that passion for Him will be ignited and stoked in the hearts of our young people and our mission simply will be to burn with passion for God and with God's love for those around us. As the Spirit burns within us, the things in our lives holding us back from Him are refined away, love for Him becomes our sustaining life-force, the heat of His love and light of His truth touch our community and world through us.

Senior High small groups are “Oxygen,” because it is one of the required elements for fire. Students “catch their breath” and allow the Holy Spirit to breathe new life into them while they meet in nearby homes from 7:00-8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. Our mid-high small groups are “Priority One,” a launching point to build and stoke the fire in our students' hearts while they learn God's Word and choose to put God first in their lives. By meeting on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the Youth Building, students from all public and private schools are able to attend Priority One. Along with changes to our mid-week programs, Sunday night youth ministry will expand by incorporating a new student-driven worship band, video dramas, technology teams and the refurbishing of the youth building.

This is an exciting opportunity for us to allow God to take us to a new, passionate place where our hearts burn for Him and those around us feel the warmth of His love.
