Meet Our Staff

Billy Beard

Senior Pastor

Let me tell you a little about me. I was born and raised in Mississippi. I am an avid Bulldog fan, just not the one Georgians are used to — I am a Mississippi State Bulldog fan! I love high school and college football and look forward to every Friday night and Saturdays in the Fall!

I’m married to my wife, Jo Ann, and together we have 4 kids: Emilyn – (Jo Ann’s daughter), Sam, Meredith, and Caroline (all 3 my kids). We love to laugh, share life and grow in Jesus together!
I went to seminary at Asbury Seminary in Kentucky, and have served churches in Kentucky, Mississippi and Georgia.

My passions are preaching, teaching and seeing people grow in their walk with Jesus, especially those who don’t know Jesus yet. We are so excited about our ministry at Providence and seeing God work in and through us with the great people here!
