Mercy is when I do not receive a punishment I deserve. Grace is when I received a gift I didn’t deserve. God shows us Mercy by sending His son to take the punishment that we deserve which is the ultimate Grace of God. “16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” NIV Hebrews 4:16
