“Better than Accepted”
"Better than Accepted" Being accepted means that you meet the minimum standards. God doesn't have to accept you into heaven because you meet the minimum standards. God wants you in His kingdom. God adopts you into His kingdom which is "Better than Accepted." "...the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, 'Abba, Father.'" Romans 8:15

    “Clipping Coupons”
    "Clipping Coupons"
God created us with free will. You have the choice to have a relationship with Him. All you have to do is "redeem the coupon" of forgiveness that came through Jesus Christ on the cross. "...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus." Romans 3:23-24

“Uncommon Common Sense: Not Guilty by Association”
"Uncommon Common Sense: Not Guilty by Association" We are influenced by the world we live in. We worry about our kids and pier pressure, but adults experience it as well. Choose your friends carefully. "The righteous choose their friends carefully, but the way of the wicked leads them astray." (Proverbs 12:26)

“Uncommon Common Sense: You Only Have One Good Reputation”
"Uncommon Common Sense: You Only Have One Good Reputation" It takes years to build a good reputation and it can only take an instant to destroy it. It is important that you protect your good name. "A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver and gold." Proverbs 22:1

“Uncommon Common Sense: Hardly Working Won’t Hardly Work”
"Uncommon Common Sense: Hardly Working Won't Hardly Work" What is the value of work? Proverbs gives us directions and warnings about our work ethic. "Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise." We should use our time and talents to work toward our goals and dreams not waste time chasing fantasies without working.

“Uncommon Common Sense: Selfless Living in a Selfie World”
"Uncommon Common Sense: Selfless Living in a Selfie World"
We live in a society that encourages you to think the world revolves around you. We learn that at a very early age. Proverbs warns us about being prideful and putting ourselves as the center of the world. What would happen if you took yourself from the center of the picture and let God be in the center?

“Uncommon Common Sense: Don’t Toss Your Red Markers”
"Uncommon Common Sense: Don't Toss Your  RED Markers"
"Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid."
(Proverbs 12:1) Discipline and correction are actually acts of love. When God allow us to go through hardships, He is disciplining us instead of immediately fixing our problems. God loves us enough to allow us to go through correction. (Hebrews 12:7-8)

“Uncommon Common Sense: Cruise Control or Self Control”
"Uncommon Common Sense: Cruise Control or Self Control"
"The wisdom of the prudent is to give thought to their ways, but the folly of fools is deception."(Proverbs 14:8 NIV) Proverbs are truths given to us by God to make us think about how we live and how we should live. Are you living your life on "Cruise Control" without being in control, or are you practicing "Self Control" and living life as God would have us live?

“Uncommon Common Sense: Company Reduces Misery”
"Uncommon Common Sense: Company Reduces Misery"
Prov. 15:22 "Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed."(NIV)
This month's sermon series "Uncommon Common Sense" is common sense straight out of the Bible, straight from God's heart. If you have a special problem, find someone you can trust for counsel. God doesn't expect you to go through life alone. Seek out wise counsel and you will become wise (Prov. 13:20). Seek counsel from people who are honest and true to their beliefs and will support you when you make mistakes (Prov. 16:13).

    “Taking Out the Garbage”
11:00 Contemporary Service - Adam Love delivers the message, "Taking Out the Garbage."

Every week we may come to worship and go through the motions. We sing the songs and agree with the sermon while it is being delivered, but do we bring our "garbage" to God and deal with it? God knows all. He wants you to bring all your "garbage" to Him, ask for forgiveness, and move forward with His loving forgiveness.
