“Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid.”

(Proverbs 12:1) Discipline and correction are actually acts of love. When God allow us to go through hardships, He is disciplining us instead of immediately fixing our problems. God loves us enough to allow us to go through correction. (Hebrews 12:7-8)
